Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery

The Ten Thousand Buddhas Monastery
Location: 220 Pai Tau Village. Sha Tin, Hongkong

This is a Buddhist temple in Hongkong located in Sha Tin. They say that it is not an actual monastery because there are no monks residing in that place. But upon entry, we saw a monk selling wood bracelets. My husband bought 1 bracelet for 20 dollars. Too expensive. I already warn him not to buy because there not a real monk but still insisted to buy it.

Prepare to walk 430 steps all in all. My friend did not actually expecting the stairs, but she managed to climb the mountain. hehehe. Climbing up, there are lots of buddhas and I observed that the statues are different.

How to get to the Monastery:

By MTR:

Take MTR east rail line going to Sha Tin, then exit in B. When you are in TST, fare is just 9dollars that takes 20 minutes ride. Just look for Shatin Government Office Building along Pau Tau Street. Take the first street on the right, which is Sheung Wo Che Road and at the end of the road is the lead going to the monastery.
